Having access to internet 20 years ago was still a sort of a privilege. Many didn't have that. I remember I had to travel 30km to an internet cafe to connect with the wider world. Precious times they were, indeed.

@Account.for.Comment or to get benefits, at least in the UK. You are broke but you have to have a smartphone to manage your benefits. Or go to the library and feel lucky that yours wasn't shut down due to the lack of funding. And then there are ignorants verbally spitting on you that you aren't that poor when you have a smartphone. Seen it so many times.

Duck fuck go is my current engine on most browsers I use. I was looking for SSDs... under the first result, don't remember what that was, probably just a paid ad, there was a sideways scrollable panel with SSDs from Aliexpress. Like 99% were knockoff fake products right there, CCP paying hard money to promote its failing economy. Also about 80 % of the actual search results below were either Scamazon or ebay, mostly Scamazon, sellng the Chinese fakes at a premium price so you aren't that suspicious. Had to dig to find the actual brand's website where I made the purchase from. Directly from the source.
