  1. The biggest problem with overwriting existing books is one can change history. We can see what fElon is doing - wanting to boycott everyone who doesn't speak nicely about him, restricting twitter accounts who criticise him, sacking entire government departments because he doesn't understand how they work... This has far greater risks for the future than just the fact your book is different today than it was before. Entire democracy depends on recorded history and events. Right now they are trying to call black things white and otherwise. Trump blamin Ukraine from starting the war. Come on!
