  1. Enshitification of windows, right spot on. My line of thought is: because those ads are so intrusive, an average user unable to switch them off has to cope somehow using the system. They will develop a sort of a tunnel vision attention, filtering out a lot of stuff in their minds. This can be a double edged sword, because when it comes to scams reaching out to them, they might filter out telltale signs and fall victims. They won't be accustomed to the broad attention functioning, capturing all detais in their entirety on the screen. Something similar with tiktok kids, so degraded in their attention span, unable to process and retain a complex information, falling behind in school even. Teachers could tell stories.

  2. Dude, I turned off all this nonsense in Win10, so my desktop looks like of an adult, but when sandboxing some risky software, the edge in sandbox has all that crap there by default again. And it cannot be permanently turned off, to my knowledge. Linux is the way forward. Let's hope Ubuntu won't copy Windows like a fool!
