Tiktok never made me buying anything - I simply never install it. But it just confirmed how sheep probably the majority of the populace is. Slaves to the screen, slaves to the market, mindlessly getting manipulated into actions they wouldn't do otherwise ... just hit that buy button and you'll have it... too easy! And CCP is laughing behind the stage how the western society gets broken, step by step. And I have noticed, as you mentioned, Fakebook has its 'reels', Youtube has its 'shorts'... and I am on a mission of ignoring them. And those with this 'tiktok made me buy it' many are just opportunists using this as just another hot trend to get views and cash in from it... just join the army of a hashtag and hope something will drop into your wallet from that. Not all of them are true victims of this dopamine catch. Some are simply business persons jumping on the bandwagon while it is still in motion. Next time it will be some other craze. And so the world goes on.
