Not sure how much fire I have inside of me, but after I had to perform some advanced troubleshooting on my Windows 10 PC this year, being an amateur, I am nearly fully switched to Linux. And that includes some manual repair, cleaning and upgrade of old hardware, manual paritioning and dual booting, among other tricks I learned along. I feel quite energised LOL.

@OShackHennessy yep. No new hardware for me next year. My machines are still good to go, including over 15 yo ex Vista laptop, after repplaced broken hinge (by myself) and cleaning with minor upgrade of RAM for a few bucks, now on Wilma Linux. And it has a working dvd mechanics, which most modern machines no longer have. I have never paid for streaming, so my cds and dvds are still a viable option for entertainment.
