  2. I am not gen Z, far from that but I found myself in a rabbid hole of YT and sometimes fakebook. But I do have hobbies, several of them. One is watching videos about my hobbies, LOL. I do papercraft, greeting cards, but also other related crafts, painting... Even made a unique cabinet with drawers, looks like a rattan one, using a special wallpaper to decorate it that way, adding legs to an originally kallax insert. Gardening, embroidery, also listening to youtube while stitching. And learning about computers, operating systems, physical fixes and upgrades, cyber security and online privacy. I don't like smartphones but I tolerate a tablet and prefer a proper computer/laptop keyboard. Transitioning to Linux, fascinated by the trrminal, me, nearly 50 yo woman with no formal computing background. Simple games keep my brain focus, like freecell, solitair, mines, luxor or bricks shooting..

  3. I am glad to see I am not an average consumer. I don't have any subscriptions besides general bills. Even going away from Windows and replacing it with Linux. Freeview on TV, music from my younger years on physical media or mp3 in my possession, films on dvds or online for free, phone bill below £7, I don't need more. Never had Prime or Netflix. I am one of those people. LOL. And Opera? You must be joking. Just send your personal details to CCP straight away. Why obfuscating it?

  4. Thisis misleading. I remember from the days before internet, magazines were providing equally conflicting info. Internet is just another platform doing the same. Before the era of glossy mags, adverising in papers was also misleading, often promoting harmful products. And in contrary to the title, thanks to the internet and countless discussions on forums with people I would have never met otherwise if not on internet, my critical thinking got a boost. Without that I would be probably reading the same shitty magazines and be led like a donkey from one nonsense to another. And no, I am not interested in your sponsored product.

  5. A couple years ago, my American colleague in the UK brought some sweets from the US. I checked the ingredients, saw those colourings in them and politely said no. I cannot believe they feed this to kids without facing criminal charges.

  6. I was a medium reader as a kid and teen. In central Europe we were made to read sevreral books in the secondary school, and writing summary about them, in 1990s, no internet, all authentic. Outside of the curriculum I found myself reading various books, including one about archaeology, then an encyclopaedia for young about plants, animals and minerals. I still have many of those books and recently started diving into them again. The plant section contains some useful info about using wild growing plants for food, or to treat various ailments. Great stuff. One novel from Jack London made such an impression on my one night that I wrote several pages about it into my diary after I finished it,way past midnight, including one short poem. I still remember it. It turned out to be a lucky activity because soon a teacher at school asked us what book we read recently and to write some summary about it. I already had one! Got a top mark. I don't read as many books these days, social media took over, along other hobbies.
