Gas stove also emits tiny particles that sit on all surfaces in the kitchen and it will show after some time. Electric doesn't do that. Plus, I am not a fan of those glass kettles. Limescale starts showing in the kettle soon after several uses and this glass will expose it all. I better keep the scale hidden and descale the kettle once in a while.

Watched about fifth of this and a question occurred in my mind: how do these dishwasher detergents compare with a normal dish soap in contaminating the waters and the effort water cleaning companies need to put into making sure we get back a flawless drinking water? The dishwashers may save water, but water circulates in nature, whereas those chemicals often leak to wild nature and cause damage there. And then there is the extra electricity used for washing dishes like this. If you have a family of 10 (or even 6) I can understand, but for small households... isn't it a waste?

Watching this and not having a dish washer LOL. But I wouldn't even test the stuff with butter like this. You know what it does to the sewers under the surface? Ever heard about fatbergs? People are quite ignorant to this problem. We always wipe any grease off the plate and throw it to the bin. The nature (or incinerator, wherever the mixed waste ends) will take care of it, not the sewers. This way we never had an issue with our sewer, unlike the previous people occupying this house, having regular problems, according to the neighbours. We even had to clean the waste drain soon after moving here, it was clogged with stuff. Not since then, 5 years down the line.

And to those compact things... I don't even trust those for laundry washing, sticking to the old fashioned powder or liquid I measure myself according to my needs. It comes cheaper, too. It looks more like companies trying to find ways how to get more money from us for less service or material. They constantly think what new they could come with to remain relevant on the market... at the end of the day we just need some detergent that doesn't cost a fortune.
