@Mediumal what are you talking about? What is the 'public square'?? There is noi such thing! Its all private. it's like a club. You enter the club, you sign up and agree to the club rules. That is a binding contract between 2 private entities. And if you break the agreement, they can kick you out. Just like you can do exactly the same if you start a club and set up the rules.

And if you do the same using private technology, in private servers, using private electricity, using private develloped software, breaking the legal binding TOS agreement, they can do the same. You don't understand the pricipal of freedom of speech. It doesn't apply between 2 private entities. In no way, big tech are restricting free speech. that is a concept between a government and a private entitiy. Not between private entities. you know where you are if you are on Twitter or FB ? You are at their servers (somewhere under the sea), using their electricity, their efforts, risk taking, ideas and personnel. All for free ! You are at their home, and they can do anything they want, just like you can do whatever you want at your home. But what you want to do is to swoop in after they have succes, and tell Twitter and FB what you want them to do, while you did zero, took zero risk, and did zero effort. It does not exist between 2 private entities, only between the state and a private entity. you come here whining about 'boohoohoo I'm the victim boohoohoo', and you don't even bother to read the constitution. if a person starts talking trash about your mother in your house, you will kick him out. Can this person go to court, and claim you censored him? NO! the same with big tech. if you are on FB, you are on the servers of FB, using their electricity, their software, their personel, their investment FOR FREE. They can do what they want!

@mattdwightbeheler4766 there is zero monopoly. On the contrary. There is no market more competitive than the one for social media. on the internet, there are thousands of downloadable social media apps. And FB and Twitter can't even have a monopoly, because the product is FREE!

If a shop owner invites you in his shop, is it suddenly 'not a private shop' anymore? and Apple never invited me in. Did they ever 'invite you in'? Show me you 'invitation'.
