it means seperation of church and state jefferson clearly stated this
5
the secular conservatives are also against
5
Jefferson : Religious institutions that use government power in support of themselves and force their views on persons of other faiths, or of no faith, undermine all our civil rights. Moreover, state support of an established religion tends to make the clergy unresponsive to their own people, and leads to corruption within religion itself. Erecting the 'wall of separation between church and state,' therefore, is absolutely essential in a free society.

@jeads21 no it most certainly is not! Adams : The United States is not a C hristian nation any more than it is a J ewish or a M ohammedan nation. “ Adams : The Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the C hristian religion.” you think Adams was wrong?

@BillyColeII-dr6dk its nowhere in the Constitution, just like it says nowhere the USA is a democracy. Yet it is. just like any other Constitution in the Western free world, it doesn't mention seperation of church and state and the word democracy. my opinion is this: a person who wants to live in a country that has no separation of church and state is PU RE SC UM because all the countries in the world that have no separation of church and state are dictatorships that oppress people.
1
@BillyColeII-dr6dk do you know that in the Western free world, every country has a constitution. All of them are secular democracies. and non of them have in their Constitution the word 'democracy' or the phrase 'separation of church and state' just like a bakery hasn't the word 'bread' as a sign on the wall. its IMPLIED! i also think that people who want to live in a country that has no separation of church and state are PU RE SC UM PERIOD

1
yes it is
1
@nobs.1794 You are totally wrong. That Creator is not the Christian god you believe in. the Founding Fathers were not Christians. Judeo Chirstian ethics are not the foundation of the USA. There was already ethic laws long before the Bible was written. And equality is nowhere to be found in the Bible. Thats an invention of the Enlightment. Liberty again is NOWHERE to be found in the Bible, since the Bible was okay with slavery. literally everything you write is a 100% fabrication.
1
@DewightBell what?? are you reacting to something I wrote?
1
its all NOT true
1
@shawnbradford2243 yes, people practiced religion, but a person named Moses that went to a mountain and got 10 commandments from a supra natural being that is 100% a a fictional story
1
@shawnbradford2243 seriously? you do'nt think many christian freaks believe the bible is literally true?
1
@DrStrange225 no, i just summed up the problem that people extrapolate their own personal petty life to the rest of humankind.
