@jimc9253 well, the USA is now the biggest producer of oil in the world. And the fuel prices are lower than in any other country of the G7. And if you do'nt like the inflation, get a job. because wages are up more than inflation.

@chuckevans2792 i'm not a troll, i'm a bot. And not 1 stat I quote is wrong. Wages increased 6.49 percent in November of 2023 (compared to nov 2022) and the lowest incomes saw the biggest growth (13% since jan 2021, inflation adjusted) What many people do'nt realise is that inflation isn't bad at all in a growing economy. and after the pandemic, there was a global high inflation, totally normal. Everything had to be started up. but, the wages higher than inflation are a real problem. This is the weak point in the Biden economy. I understand MAGA desperately want to find a stick to hit the dog. But they are looking for the wrong stick.

@johnnytx45 You are mistaken. The wages grow higher than inflation. Wages increased 6.49 percent in November of 2023 (compared to nov 2022) and the lowest incomes saw the biggest growth (13% since jan 2021, inflation adjusted). And that is the real problem if it lasts for a long time now. Inflation is not the problem, certainly if the inflation is lower than for the biggest trade partners. The wages are. And that is because unemployment is so low, that companies have to lure the best employees with higher wages. do'nt bother me with nonsensical statements like 'the American people are smarter'. NO THEY ARE NOT! DUH!

you are 100% wrong @pefo1674 The CPI is constructed each month using 80,000 items in a fixed basket of goods and services representing what Americans buy in their everyday lives—from gasoline at the pump and apples at the grocery store to cable TV fees and doctor visits. The BLS uses a survey of American families called the Consumer Expenditures Survey to determine which items go in the basket and how much weight to assign to each item.
