On a yearly basis, the CPI rose 2.9%, its lowest yearly growth rate since March of 2021. there was a spike in 2021, which was a worldwide spike. I do'nt want to overwhelm you with to much new information, but outside the US, there are other countries. That also have economies and inflation. Actually, the US did pretty well compared to the rest of the Western world. Prices never drop. thyat would be ridiculous, because that means deflation, which is desastrous. Prices under trump were higher than under Obama. did you know that? as long as wages outpace inflation, inflation is perfectly normal, because its an incentive to consume. DUH
