Its to tell you again and again what you believe, and confirm it. there is a great Kinks song: 'Give the people what they want'. Its a con. there are multiple youtube posts of personalities going on Fox, and giving a conservative point of view, and then go on MSNBC and tell the opposite. They do that for the money. and you know who is paying them? YOU!!! And that is because 99% of the people can't stand to hear a different opinion, and LOVE to hear their own opinion confirmed.   10.  @chrisdickenson8116  its stats that nobody disputes. there IS a booming economy. Unemployment IS falling faster than ever before. the stockmarket is at an all time high. Are you disputing that, or you just don't want to hear? thats called cognitive dissonance. and yes! inflation is at a high (not an all time high, thats a lie), but like you see: I do'nt dispute that, because I do'nt want to have cognitive dissonance.
