Playing word games about what a place was officially called or the specific form of government that existed and all that is IRRELEVANT. Hundreds of thousands of people were suddenly displaced from lands that they considered home and that their grandparents and great grandparents considered home. This is the reality of how Palestinians (understandably) perceive the situation and that part of things is really all that matters ultimately. Word games and complete non-empathy aren’t helpful whatsoever and only entrench everyone more deeply into their extreme positions.
