  1.  @ef2718  He said at one time he read and spoke Arabic well, so he would have recognized it easily. There is a very small percentage of Arabic speakers in Turkey. Depending on where this was, I can easily imagine Arabic graffiti like this, especially in the 1970s. Notice though he never said it was written in Turkish, and there are a bunch of minority languages in Turkey.
