So many Israelis play this stupid Orwellian word game that there has never been such a thing as Palestine, therefore there is no such thing as Palestinians. It's really tiresome. Ironically, Israel itself has created a Palestinian identity that really didn't exist so cohesively pre 1948.

@SigalDa You guys love to distract with tiresome Orwellian word games. Hundreds of thousands of people in established communities were displaced in order to form the nation of Israel in 1948. Call them whatever you want. 🤷
16
@Rai2M You are talking about it as if it is just lines on a map. I'm talking about whole communities of actual living human beings having to be displaced.
12
It's enough to make your eyes glaze over.

@crude888 I think that in their hearts many of them know that what they are doing and have done is unfair to hundreds of thousands of people. So they try to deal with those conflicting emotions through denial, a common defense mechanism.
7
@TheNivKo A lot of Israelis like to play this stupid word game to make it look like the massive displacement of people necessary for the establishment of Israel was no big deal because there was no official state called Palestine. It's tiresome.
7
The cognitive dissonance would be too strong otherwise.
6
@SigalDa In 1948 a Palestinian identity was formed that really didn't exist before to anywhere near the same extent. "You break it, you bought it." Get it?
6
Most of it really does come down to: "A god promised a guy this land once." Cool, right?😐
6
@shainazion4073 Here we go with more Bible stuff.....

@solvingpolitics3172 1948
5
@SigalDa How many indigenous people, whatever you want to call them, were displaced in order to form the nation of Israel in 1948?
3
@sammalama Sure. And ironically enough that is precisely when a Palestinian identity was formed that didn't exist to nearly the same extent as before.
3
@lmao5070 Don't go there. He wants you to play that silly game. It's distraction.
3
@AngelofD69 "Was declared" Okay.....
3
@tamaralexander9379 You people love to gaslight by putting words into people's mouths among all sorts of other things. Did I say no Jews were living there? Please show me where.
3
@SigalDa Before 1948?
2
@aviavraham5333 That's really interesting.🤦♂️
2
Oh well... he's stumped I guess...🤷
2
@nikomiko-hm4mf Do you really believe that the Arabs would be allowed to have Judea and Samaria? Get real.
2
@tamaralexander9379 No kidding. This tiresome deflection is moot. The fact is there were established communities of hundreds of thousands of people who were suddenly displaced in order to form the nation of Israel in 1948. 🤦♂️Jfc this is like talking to a wall.
2
@tamaralexander9379 Of course you are way oversimplifying. It is the only way your narrative makes any sense.
1
@aviavraham5333 When were these huge numbers of Jews expelled from Arab lands?
1
@aviavraham5333 You seem very knowledgeable about this topic. When precisely were huge numbers of Jews expelled from multiple Arab countries?
1
@TheNivKo Umm.... He knew exactly what the question was about.
1
@nikomiko-hm4mf Too many Israelis see Judea and Samaria as essential parts of Israel. The Arabs were never really going to be able to keep that area for long. Come on.
1
@tamaralexander9379 You seem very knowledgeable about this subject so this should be an easy one for you. Was there anyone who had to leave Palestine in order for the nation of Israel to be formed in 1948? As in, give up their land, homes, communities, etc?
1
@m.khalid334 I didn't say otherwise; I only said that the formation of Israel only made the Palestinian identity more cohesive.
1
Not really.
1
@Ash_Queen16 I don't agree that the Quran says believers should kill all non-Muslims. Do you?
1
It's because they don't understand the noble mission of Israeli settlers🤦♂️
1
So many Israelis sound EXACTLY like the whites in the Jim Crow South in the USA in the 50s and 60s.
1
@Ash_Queen16 It's hilarious!
1
Why should they ?
1
It is proven that Netanyahu actually boosted Hamas trying to play wedge games with the Palestinian Authority.
1
It's genuinely hard to tell which side you're referring to.
1
But a god promised a guy this whole region once.
1
Vermin?
1
@solvingpolitics3172 Rings true, it really does.
1
@SigalDa How many indigenous people, whatever you want to call them, were displaced in order to form the nation of Israel in 1948?
1
Because the answer is so obvious why they do?
