  3.  @Henchman.24  At least Germans in the 1930s and 40s had the excuse that they had very limited information about what was really happening. Not a great excuse perhaps, but compared with the enormous amount of information, evidence, and testimony readily available to anyone today who wants it, you can cut the German people a little bit more slack comparatively speaking.
