@terintiaflavius3349 The Kremlin clearly mobilized the Chechens to defend Moscow against a Prigozhin led insurrection. Prigozhin enjoys a lot of support from many in the Russian population but he thought he had more support from within the Kremlin for a coup than he actually had.

@Fortapistone The end result is that Putin looks way less in control of his military forces. This is not some sort of brilliant strategy as no autocratic leader plays games involving looking weak and ineffective. It’s far too risky and corrosive of the veneer of invincibility they always cultivate. Sometimes the simplest explanation is the most accurate and most intelligent.
