  2.  @laivonn  It looks like in English the words “impotence” and “powerlessness” may fit the feeling you are going for here. The feeling that it is utterly useless and pointless perhaps.

  3.  @laivonn  Yeah, that works. Impotence is pronounced IM' PO TENTS....but unfortunately it's used mostly as a synonym for erectile dysfunction, haha

By older I just meant people older than you, like teachers, relatives, parents of your friends, etc. …. people in your life who were willing to take the time to engage you in meaningful conversation and perhaps guide you and stimulate your thinking, help you clarify and form values, that sort of thing.
