It was supposed to be a ( relatively ) small technical operation , in order to capture the biolabs, nuclear plants ( and child trafficking) . But they met with ( unsuspected ? ) resistance , helped by US money. . I don't think , because he said it repeatedly , Putin would take the nuclear initiative. The Russian bear roars when he is wounded, he doesn't take aggressive initiative. And I say that as a Finn; we had all the reasons in the world to shy the Russians. We know for a fact that Taiwan , a democratic Republic absolutely doesn't want to be absorbed by Red China, no matter what Red China says.
