The problem with UBI is the government would likely be involved and they rarely execute anything effectively. We just need smarter humans so people aren’t doing all this mindless work. Letting government try to give money to dumb people is unlikely to end well.

The idea of a “chemical imbalance” is not inherently wrong. Our brains are constantly undergoing chemical reactions and as far as we know that’s what dictates behavior and how people feel. The problem is it’s way more complicated than “you’re low on serotonin”.

You have to find a way to induce panic, extreme anxiety, extreme fear or physical pain that will result if you don’t exercise. Basically your brain will go into a fight or flight state and choose which ever is the least bad - do some exercise or experience extreme pain. Normal people can usually use positive emotion and discipline to encourage exercise, don’t rely on that. The first 5-15 mins (depending on person and intensity) of exercise are the worst but it gets easier after that.

Uh then whose YouTube account are you using to comment here and why is it relevant at what age you deleted your accounts? No one in the comments section has any idea how old you are.

This is what happens when doctors try to treat a problem with something they don’t understand - the brain.

@DK-tq3fy There’s plenty of evidence that human behavior is modulated by chemical reactions. It’s not operating on pixy dust as far as we can find. Mental illness occurs when these chemical reactions are stuck in patterns that result in problematic behavior.

Wtf has this world come to when people are getting banned for encouraging learning how to write software? Content moderation doesn’t work at large scale until AI is more advanced.

@Brandonohh That assumes there is only one cause of the oil change light coming on. The light is behavior and behavior can be caused by a vast array of chemical reactions and electrical activity specific to the individual. It’s better to monitor the oil level and understand how the oil interacts with other components in the car but when it comes to the brain they don’t understand how it works, let alone any individual’s brain.
