  1. I dont think you understand how large that bridge was. They cant just teleport off of it. They didnt get the cars off they stopped traffic from going on. If you were already ON the bridge it was too late obviously.

  2.  @JohnDrewVoice From what Ive heard from people in/from Florida its also fear of not being able to get out in time because everyone is trying to get out and worst case scenario is being trapped in traffic on the highway when it hits. If they arent confident theyll make it all the way out they stay and hunker down. Im already hearing stories of people breaking down and getting stranded because gas stations are running out of gas. Idk if thats been confirmed. But one massive hurricane right on top of another makes it even harder to get out Id imagine.

  6. ⁠ @AdAstra78 People are just totally unrealistic and unreasonable. Its my understanding what saved them from the worst possible scenario was the speed at which the storm was moving. It was faster then they thought it would be so it made landfall before high tide. When storms hit at high tide obviously the height of the storm surge is far worse. Basically this storm beat the tide in thank God. Idk there is any way to predict that. Its always just their best guest, cant reasonably expect more then that.

  20.  @sirensynapse5603 What? Its been well reported people had to abandoned their cars and continue evacuating on foot the police told them too, its not uncommon in these wildfires for that to happen because the fires move so fast. Then the LAFD bulldozed a path so their trucks could get through.

  27. Incredible they closed the bridge and stopped traffic immediately when the ship made the mayday call, at the absolute last second before impact/collapse. You can see it in the footage moments before. Thank God they acted so quickly.

Last I checked we arent all sitting on top of ice so..maybe people need to humble themselves and stop pretending we can control every single freaking thing. I want an answer as to why if “man made” climate change is legitimate why are these people only interested in turning the lights and heat off and screwing with the food supply in Western countries who are the cleanest and have precisely ZERO to say about the dirtiest countries, namely China- who coincidentally btw is also enjoying much of the profits from this “catastrophe.” Looking at everything being done to destroy the West, the totality of circumstances, and that all the same players are involved behind each and every one of these assaults these so called experts have a lot more explaining to do.

  43.  @shamrock141 Right, it was more WHERE it was hitting that was the worst factor. Cat 3, 4 or 5 hitting Tampa Bay is very bad. Thats millions of people and a major city in the bullseye. Sandy was what, a 1 or 2, but it was headed for Manhattan, thats a big problem for obvious reasons.
