  5. No thats not it at all. Not even close. The argument is we do everything possible to keep certain countries down even to our own detriment while at the same time consistently doing other things that strengthen those countries and hurt our own. What makes the most sense is policy that is ALWAYS solely in the best interests of our country because our country being as strong as it can possibly be has the best outcome on all fronts. We dont want China running the world so we export all our manufacturing there and then try to wage some war against them and their allies on other fronts, like military capability? Its schizophrenic. It ensures constant conflict and power struggle, as in we literally assist them getting stronger stupidly and then squawk about how we must do this and this, almost always war related, because they are a threat. Versus solely relying on our own country as much as possible, all our manufacturing etc here, all our tax dollars here, building our military as strong as possible- if we are really interested in always being more powerful and influential then WHY ARENT WE DOING THIS. Why do we help them get stronger while weakening ourselves instead of making ourselves as strong as possible. We have the ability to be the most powerful country in the world without all the bullshit game playing. They would rather play the game because there is far less profit for them if they did things honestly and with loyalty to their country. Our politicians wouldnt make as much money without the game despite the fact that the game is absolutely detrimental to the American people. Including getting us killed in their stupid political wars.
