  23. Do these people have NO clue how our government works? The SCOTUS rightfully gave it to the states. POTUS has nothing to do with it anymore. If it WASNT given back to the states, Trump would have full control over the issue now. Thats precisely THE POINT of state control. State control means your state can make a law you dont like and you can leave the state. Federal level control means the federal government, President and Congress, can make one sweeping law for all you dont like and you have to leave the country. The Presidency and both houses of Congress just turning red, and largely pro life, should have taught them the value of states autonomy. If they had any sense they would be relieved that this issue was sent back to the states before the pro-life crowd took a sweeping victory over all levers of federal power. Of course they arent because they are ignorant. They are also ideologically totalitarian- the rights and viewpoints of others who in a free country legally have equal say in the matter are irrelevant to them. These are the same people who will demonize the very system that was designed to keep power as close to the people as possible (state level) for the very purpose of preserving liberty and individual sovereign rights as much as possible.
