America is unique in that it requires nationalism. We dont have a shared ethnicity or culture, nationalism is essentially our culture. Its what we all had in common and that has been true since the Revolution. Its like a patchwork quilt, the people are the patches and the “nationalism” was the thread. As nationalism increasingly becomes viewed as a negative thing, which i will never understand, the thread is pulled and we become tribalized.

It is true though that the UK is worse off because of our system here in the US. Besides the fact that freedom of speech etc is protected by law, I dont think the value of having states can be understated. The states still retain the most authority so its easy to find refuge from most of the insanity within the United States. Ones quality of life is 180 degrees different in New Hampshire, Tennessee or Louisiana then it is in Massachusetts or California. The state at least has the ability and the authority to protect you from the arbitrary power of federal government/abuses of Constitutionally protected rights and most of them do. If my state (NH) goes crazy there is absolutely no impediment to me just picking up and leaving for another one. The states really do function as independent countries within a country they are that different. As an example, NH has a bill in the House right now that would make it a felony to be in the state if you are in the country illegally, also that they be charged with criminal trespassing if they enter the US through the NH/Canada border. So the state cannot stop the border issue (for now) but it can say you arent allowed to be in our state. Numerous states have passed or are in the process of passing same or similar legislation.

Youve been indoctrinated into thinking self preservation and prioritizing your children and grandchildren is mean- its not, its your basic obligation to them actually. I hate the WW2 comparisons but imagine if your grandparents had had this attitude where would you be now. I find it reprehensible people who have enjoyed a certain quality of life having the least regard for depriving future generations of the same, making decisions that do exactly that in the interest of politeness. What a luxury it is to be able to be so concerned with decorum. 🙄

Americans value freedom more then security, convenience, socialist principles etc. People revolted against a threat to our Constitution and our sovereignty. Its true you need a strong leader to lead a movement, but without the PEOPLE there is no movement to lead. You all have to choose to reject everything youve accepted for decades in a nutshell. You could start by taking your guns back because a free sovereign individual has THE RIGHT to self defense versus its nicer and safer and whatever bs to not have them. Nothing is a greater threat then a government you have given virtually unending control over your lives, which Europe on the whole has done. It is nice for everyone to have free healthcare- now no one does because they are giving all the healthcare to their new citizens the migrants invading all our countries, youre footing the bill and theres nothing you can do about it. You gave them the control to begin with, the majority population has to want it back before any leader can make it happen. Choose freedom and individual rights over socialism and the collective. It will only get worse until you do.

@charleswells481 Oh believe me they are under assault like never before you are certainly right about that. Im grateful for the benefit of more firewalls over here but my heart is just broken seeing people feel they need to leave the UK. I hope Calvin is right that from here he can keep fighting for you. I am praying for both of our countries.

3:42 Its not actually diminished in America, its that people were asleep and propagandized and didnt realize what was happening. Now its obvious to people who didnt realize and theres been a hard lurch toward Patriotism and AWAY from progressive/authoritarianism. Theres a major realignment happening and the majority are more united then we have been in I dont even know how long. A Kennedy just joined the republican side. And hes one of many, theres a mass exodus happening from the left. People who previously had nothing in common are joining forces. Its incredible to watch.
