  1. what jimmy, his guest and the woman who "got owned" by whoever that guy said to her, to include the guy himself, fail to understand is that china is using the debt trap. it is true that these african nations may need certain things like roads, bridges, airports, etc to be built; knowing this china offers to build them these things using chinese workers, by doing this, the local economy isn't boosted since no local workers are employed in the construction work, and then when X nation that needed Y thing that was built by china can't pay back (as they obviously were never going to be able to pay) whatever that Y thing that was built was, china takes full control over it and "colonizes" that piece of land, so china gets to use it as they see fit.

  2.  @bengilkes7676  look up ugandan international airport, or the kenyan port, or the maldives bridge for china does this exact same thing around the world.

  3.  @bengilkes7676  I just want to make sure people understand that just because china is using money (as opposed to the military) to oppress others, that doesn't somehow make them the good guys

  4.  @cart172  the alternative is not making deals that you know you can't pay back so that china can colonize parts of your nation, to include important things such as international airports, specially if it's the only one you have
