  7. OMG not a fanboy here but n64 holding up well really? I mean seriously, their simplistic polygon graphics games looked bad even during those days, the aforementioned golden eye 64 which is supposed to be one of the greatest games ever always looked like shit. I remember back in the mid 90s making fun of how the characters moved as if they had parkinson disease for they couldn't stop shaking (their heads in particular), that is not to say that the other aforementioned and very much loved (by most) FF7 looks any better because quite frankly it doesn't but the ps1 does have more games that look good even by today's standards when compared to the n64 ones

I thought tidus and auron were "unsent" spirits of dead people for they never received the "sending" (or whatever it was called) ritual and their spirit never went to the far plane thus they were roaming earth as undead and jecht was the chosen to become sin for whatever reason; then again I haven't played the game in years and can't remember

  19. +Moses The Messiah I really like how the analogue-less ps1 controller feels in my hands but when the dual shock came out I always felt it needed slightly longer grips, I still loved it though, same with the dual shock 2, the problem with 3 is those trigger buttons feel like shit. I have never been a fan of trigger buttons in any modern controller, also I personally don't like to have an internal battery, I'd rather have a pack of 4 AA rechargeable batteries so I can have 2 in my controller, 2 already charged and when the ones in the controller discharge they can be replaced and recharged elsewhere while I keep playing.

  21. really! the saturn and the turbo express as worst video game consoles?! the saturn had so many great (mostly japanese release only but non japanese speakers friendly) games, as a matter of fact, a lot of great and popular PS1 games made their way there, such games would never see release on the n64, which IMO should be the console on this list. the turbo express was a portable way to play your turbo graphx hue cards which at the time was far superior to what the competition offered for portable gaming, it's only problem was it's high prize.

  23. how can you win a console exclusive games with a very small amount of games? I know people will say it's not the quantity but the quality but the thing is, the ps1 amount of good exclusive games was extremely large (no hyperbole here) that even if all of the games released for the n64 were good as well (which honestly speaking they weren't) it would have still fell way short.

  25. correction: jimm jones convinced a few of his believers to shoot anyone who opposed drinking the "cool aid". you see, he told the unarmed men, women and children that this "cool aid" was pretty much going to kill them all and if you refused to drink it (for obvious reasons) you would be shot in the spot killing you anyways

  27. +Luigi999 fuck no! as the owner of a nes, snes, gc, wii with it's classic controller pro, ps1,2,3, xbox 360, sega genesis with the 3 and 6 button controllers and last but not least sega saturn; the worst controller has to be the GC's followed by the 360's. the GC controller has a ridiculously tiny (even for my tiny hands) dpad, the weird shape buttons and it's placement, the shoulder buttons that go a mile down when pressed and the no words to describe C "joystick" are awful. the 360 controller has a horrible dpad (even worse than the GC's), crap trigger buttons (though to be honest I don't like trigger buttons in any console) and the battery compartment that sticks out instead of being nice and flush like the One's make the controller awful. as a fighting game player and old school action game gamer those controllers are terrible, they are better suited for JRPGs, or slower pace games IMO.

Zenks ren yes, I try again. the gc controller is the worst controller. it is my opinion, you don't have to share it. besides it is also my opinion that the jaguar controller is not that bad. the only thing it has that is pretty ridiculous is the dial pad that was so unnecessary, they came with a revised model with 6 regular face action buttons for fighting games while also keeping the dial pad. the n64 controller also in my opinion is not bad, it had a great d-pad, 6 face action buttons for fighting games, 2 shoulder buttons and for 3d gaming it worked great specially considering it was the 1st controller for 3d gaming and at the time no one had thought about a second analogue for camera control. the GC however had a lot of things to copy and go by yet they decided to redesign certain thing that needed no redesign and in the end turned the controller into a piece of crap.

  31. sure the version of mk for the genesis had the fatalities, blood and short fmv's making it closer to the arcade in those terms, but the snes version had the better graphics and audio by far. have to agree with SF2 though, the genesis version was overall more faithful (including the sound) and looked about as good as the snes one

  32. as a gc and ps2 owner I have to say the ps2 controller is far superior to the gc one in my opinion. I hate the gc controller so much (due to it's ridiculous buttons) that I had to buy a ps2 to gc converter so I could play my gc games with a ps2 controller instead

I'm a video game lover and know my stuff. also own quite an extensive amount of consoles and games which include nes, snes with super gameboy, gb, gba, dsl, 2ds, gc with gameboy player, wii, ps1,2,3, pstv, psp slim and go, 360, sega cdx with mini sega power base converter, saturn. notice how I don't own an n64 from nintendo, now why would that be?

  41. sinister and insidious (in particular) are the only ones that scared the shit out of me. as a 32 year old I watched that movie after having had a stressful friday work day; I decided to treat myself and myself alone to dinner and a movie so I rented insidious and watched it during the night time; the whole time I was watching it I had goosebumps and had to stop the movie a few times to talk to a friend on facebook to calm myself and tell her how scared I was. when I was done watching I had to sleep with all my lights on.

  46. do this people actually know what they are talking about? better polygon count on the n64? really? really? no. the ps1 had a way larger polygon pushing power on screen making for more detailed models, the n64 however had better textures which meant the little amount of polygons it could display on screen would look pretty soft and even but way, WAY less detailed than the ps1 model

I mean I understand that nintendo was going for the younger demographic vice the older demographic that the ps1 was going for but again, with the extremely large list of exclusive games that the PS1 had, it meant that not only it had more great RPGs or fighting games than the n64, it also meant having all sorts of great varied types of games and game franchises that didn't exist on the n64 to draw a larger audience to it (which it did). heck, even the sega saturn had a better more varied game library than the n64, and that's not even counting the many japan only releases
