  1. correction: jimm jones convinced a few of his believers to shoot anyone who opposed drinking the "cool aid". you see, he told the unarmed men, women and children that this "cool aid" was pretty much going to kill them all and if you refused to drink it (for obvious reasons) you would be shot in the spot killing you anyways
