  1. este tipo lo que a hecho es omitir un monton de informacion y/o simplemente mentir en mucho de lo que dijo para propagar su propaganda a gente de fuera de la isla que son ignorantes y se creen su falacia. aqui te comparto el porque: It's great that such a large channel is talking about Puerto Rico so that the citizens in the US learn that puertoricans, much like them are US citizens, but, this video completely avoid talking about things to further enhance a bunch of the falcehoods stated in the video. 1. the US didn't "steal" Puerto Rico from spain by claiming it wanted to help with our independence (si soy un puertoruqueño que nacio y se crio en la isla a diferencia de este blanquito). There is this historical even known as the Hispanic American War (look it up), when the US won said war, Spain sold the US a couple of it's territories such as Cuba who soon after asked for independence and was granted it's independence, the Philipines who asked for independence after World war 2 and got it, Guam who much like Pruerto Rico is still a US territory. 2. Puerto Ricans in general were not given the US citizenship before World War 1, only those who were the children of US citizens to begin with were automatically given the citizenship, and it was also given to those who APPLIED for it. It wasn't until after WW1 that any person born in the island was born a US citizen. 3. In the 1950s the people of the island voted to remain as a US territory by supporting el Estado Libre Asociado de Luis Muños Marin (look it up), and ever since then, puertoricans have NEVER voted in favor of independence, as a matter of fact, for about 20 years more people have voted for in favor of the island becoming a state in local elections only, although a huge amount of puertoricans still want to remain a territory because of the following point. 4. The reason why puertoricans much like chamorros in Guam can't vote for the US president is because the "no taxation without representation" and many puertoricans prefer to not be able to vote for the US precident WHILE RECIDING IN THE ISLAND, as long as the don't pay federal income tax yet keep receiving federal aid such as "food sytamps", section 8, have FEMA support, unemployment benefits, WICK plan, and many others. 5. Lastly, also during the time of Luis Muños Marin, the US was in a cold war with the Soviet Union and in order to show the world which economic system was superior, injected and has continued to this day to inject incredibly large ammounts of US dollars in infrastructure in the island, much like the Soviet Union did with Cuba until the 1980s. Tothis day our current living conditions based in income vs cost of living are better than those in the island state of Hawaii. In summary, this guy esta asquerozamente equivocado and he is thus lying to his ignorant viewers who sren't verdaderos puertoriqueños como yo.

  4.  @jancortez5271  como es que si el puertorriqueño era independentista voto por algo que en su nombre tenia la palabra "estado"? porque obviamente el pueblo de puerto rico no fue tan tonto como el pueblo cubano que hoy dia busca la manera de llegar a florida, o como el pueblo filipino que hoy dia busca como casarse con estadounidenses para asi comenzar su chain migration, y decidio quedarse con un status que le permitia quedarse con la ciudadania americana que ya tenian, y el dolar. por otra parte, los puertorriqueños no contribuyen a FEMA, tanto los puertorriqueños como puerto rico, han sido recipientes de los fondos de FEMA. la ciudadania no se otorgo a todos por igual en el 1917, se le otorgo a aquel que la solicitara. con respecto a voto por la estadidad, si alguien obtiene un porcentaje de 50.01% en una eleccion de X y otra opcion obtiene un porcentaje de 49.99%, el que gana y por ende obtuvo la aprobacion fue el que obtuvo el 50.01%
