  2.  @hazelstreet1654  When you are having a mental health episode it can be hard to answer questions. The threat of jail may have reached through his mental confusion more than the other questions.

  3. @DatingMatis156 I think the EMT'S in this video were angry that he didn't answer the other questions but did answer the question about jail. They might have thought he was playing games with them. My point (as someone who is mentally ill) is that it is hard to answer questions sometimes when you are going crazy. Maybe the jail question scared him into paying attention. Sometimes easy questions are still hard to answer for me when I am really sick because my brain is telling me not to talk and not to move. I can force myself to talk (or move) but it is difficult. I am just telling my example. Every mentally ill person is different.

  6.  @SoutheastanglerLLC  I am mentally ill and I don't think most people enjoy watching mentally ill people struggle. Some do. The problem with medical people is they get burned out and lose their compassion. I wish they would quit or work away from mentally ill people because it makes having a mental illness worse when they treat us badly.

  10.  @chrisb9960  If he didn't live with his family they might not have known how badly he was doing. Also most parents often can't help an adult child as much as they would like. Their child has to be a danger to themselves or someone else before anything can be done. They might not have known that he was doing that badly. Honestly, in our mental health system many parents wish they could do more but they can't. They can watch their loved one decompensate and no one can help unless their child is a danger to themselves or others.

  23. Mentally ill people have the right to live free unless they are a danger to themselves or others. Most mentally ill people are not a danger to themselves or others most of the time. So they can live in the community until something happens and go back once they are free again.

  24. The EMT's can be very uncaring. They have said very disrespectful things and stole my jacket. But at least they took me to the hospital.

  26. No drugs were found in the autopsy. He was psychotic. It is hard to tell the difference between being high and being mentally ill sometimes.
