@godsstrongestmagicalgirl5217 Psychiatry has come far but I agree it has a long way to go. I am quite familiar with the psychiatric system. I have been in it since age 14. I have attempted suicide before. I think they can do more than when she was alive but the interventions they have are too expensive and unfortunately don't make life worth living for everyone.

@pewsterbaby I know quite a few nervous/tense married women (and men). It was probably a combo of many factors.

@visomething3207 Therapy helped me learn what were realistic expectations for relationships and better communication skills. I was late to having long term relationships. Therapy helped me. You have to find the right therapist though. I only get along with a few of them.

In the mental health field times have changed a lot. I have a lot of mental health issues and I am thankful that I wasn't sick in the 1970's.

@ghost robles I would fire that psychiatrist. They get hundreds of dollars an hour. No way they should be paid to sleep.

@GabrielleTollerson Some therapists and psychiatrists are good, some are horrible. Most are in between.

@GabrielleTollerson we have improved upon mental health treatments compared to the past. You are right that we still have a long way to go.
