  2.  @enjay5696  I have bipolar 1. I think both bipolar 1 and 2 get talked about. I would lean towards bipolar 1 getting talked about more in my experience. Most people don't even know there are 2 types.

  6.  @naryainc  Bipolar 1 is given as a diagnosis if you have had even 1 episode of mania that is not hypomania. On a separate note, bipolar 2 people often have more severe depressions. Arguing who has it worse is pointless. Why have a contest? Even if one person seems to have a worse mental problem you do not know what other problems or blessings that they have in their lives.

  7. Just because you have a mental illness doesn't mean that you stop working on yourself. I mean you could, but that is your choice. Personally I see the challenges of mental illness as something to work on. If you know what you are up against you have more tools to address your problems.

  10. Of course no one is fully happy. Life is meant to have ups and downs. Bipolar just takes you too high and too low.

  11. Sometimes meds help. Sometimes they don't. You also have to find which meds work for you. A lot don't work for me.
