I remember they talked about leaded gas when I was a child but I never knew that it was THIS bad.

@cewla3348 Didn't a drug company just get in trouble for lying about how addictive their pills were? The drug company knowingly helped create a bunch of addicts. Some of these addicts died. The drug company helped kill them just like the leaded gas company helped kill people. That is the similarity between the two in my opinion.

@mrmcku At the beginning I thought Patterson was the killer too. But if you watch the video it becomes clear he was the good guy and Midgley was the problem.

@yourgooglemeister6745 Lead exposure varied so you don't know how much lead you were exposed to. It could be more or less than average.

And poor people tend to live by busier roads and breathed more lead in the air. Lead doesn't stay in the air for a long time.

@alwaysopen7970 My boyfriend is a handyman. There is an apartment building from the 40's he works on. It has some lead pipes but they are sewer pipes not water pipes.
