@tabularasa7775 I was abused and could understand Keith's reasoning. But it is very sick and twisted. I would want him locked up in jail or a mental hospital for a long time. I have been on a jury. Just because you understand twisted thinking doesn't mean that you can't think straight yourself.

@Yourworstfears Wow, that is good he changed. I hope it lasts.

Very sick thinking.

@Megaman8880 In my state you can buy a gun unless you have been legally committed to a mental hospital. An evaluation wouldn't stop you from getting one.

@ForzaNapoli666 He is probably not above lying but he also may not be lying. As an abuse survivor his logic makes sick twisted sense. If you believe death is better than abuse. Sick twisted thinking but it might have made sense in his twisted mind.

I was in treatment with teenage sex offenders. It does happen. So you have a problem with the supposed abuser being younger than him? Though perhaps stronger.

@pepironi992 You have to weigh the harm to society more than feeling sorry for a dangerous individual.

@ericyoung2136 Let's hold Trump accountable for his criminal acts.

@erbz Politics can change people's lives. Politics can change my life. That is why I care.

@springchickena1 But the grandparents often abused the parents who abuse the child. My grandmother was worse than my abusive mother.

It is a theory. She is allowed her theory.
1
@faithonwumere4204 It's her theory of why he did it. He was definitely a sick person to do it.
1
@faithonwumere4204 The person is not siding with the murderer. The person says he did a terrible thing. They are saying a theory why he did it. They also said it was a bad thing to do.
1
@faithonwumere4204 Fine. I won't.

I don't feel bad for the guy. I wonder if he was abused and wished he were dead. So he assumes (correctly or not) that she was abused and decides to play God and take his sister out. I was abused as a child and sometimes think I would be better off dead. If I hear of a bad child abuse case I wonder if the child would be better off dead. That said I am not so sick as to kill a child. I know that the child will live their own life and make their own decisions. They may be very happy to be alive. No one knows the future. IF he was using this logic he is extremely sick to assume that he is doing his sister a favor by killing her. He seems to think he is doing right by her. He doesn't realize that abuse can be overcome but murder cannot. Killing the abuser (if there is one) I could understand. But the victim? No. He is extremely sick.

@AllThatHype Neither you or I can completely understand his mindset because we are not him I was just saying that I can understand the part where he sees her as better off dead than abused. I have thought similar things. I don't understand why he thought it was a good idea to kill her. I was explaining this because I didn't want a bunch of people calling me a monster. I am not a killer and was not pretending to understand him in every way. I was just trying to explain that one aspect of why he might of thought death was better than abuse. The rest was my explaining that I myself did not share the rest of his logic. Perhaps that clarifies my statement.
1
@AllThatHype Also you are making assumptions about me and what mental illnesses I have. I have been in treatment with murderers. My mom also dated one. I may feel sorry for a few of them but I want them off the streets. I believe the safety of possible victims matters more than the sad stories. Same with s*x offenders. Many of them have very sad stories. I still want them locked up if they can't stop offending. Don't assume that you know me. You can have compassion for offenders while still wanting them off the streets.
1
@AllThatHype I have 5 mental illnesses but that is not the point. Even if I had the exact same personality disorder as Keith it doesn't mean that I would understand him. Since they never specified which personality disorder he had we will never know. I have been in the mental health system a long time and I don't relate to people just because they have the same illness.
1
@AllThatHype It is fine to feel bad for him. I just don't. I don't think it has to do with diagnosis. Neither of us knows what diagnosis he has. The experts said he had a personality disorder. They didn't say he was psychotic. You were implying that I couldn't understand him because I don't have the same diagnosis and assumed I had depression. That is why I am arguing with you. You were trying to tell me I had no right to comment based on your assumptions. You think you understand him but you don't know. You have no proof what illness he has. Maybe you do understand him better and maybe not. Maybe your assumptions about him are wrong like they were about me.
1
@AllThatHype Unless you are Keith you don't have exactly the same mindset as him either. You probably think more like him than I do. It is fine if you feel sorry for him. But I don't have to. I can still state my opinion just as you can state yours.
1
@AllThatHype Ok. Fair enough.
1
@Megaman8880 I was saying that from a mental health point of view that a mental health evaluation wouldn't have kept Keith from getting a gun in my state. I didn't make my statement clear enough.

@ruthlinares7352 "We'll get through this by ensuring that you stay in jail a very long time, Keith"

Evidence can be hard to find in s*xual abuse cases. But who knows in this case.
1
@tabularasa7775 S*xual abuse is very hard to prove. No evidence doesn't mean that it never happened. It may not have but who knows?
