@13SapphireMoon My mother was much less abusive than her mother so I give her credit for that. I still think she shouldn't have had children.

@LifeDiaryGedi Thanks for saying that. I am in a program for adults with mental illnesses. A fair number of us have been abused. That doesn't mean that we are victims.

@NeonCherryBlossum Some know it feels bad but they don't know there is an alternative. They think it is just how life is.

@aminabdullah350 I have read at least 4 books on trauma. They helped me but I have severe issues. Counseling helped me in a way that books could not. This is because a counselor could give me advice on how to handle situations in my life as they were happening.

Unfortunately some people are so messed up (mentally ill, addicted, etc.) that they don't realize they won't be good parents.

@emberhermin52 I have Autism and was abused but I know some people with Autism who have loving parents. I don't think Autism is caused by abuse. Especially since many have non-Autistic siblings.
