@Harlem55 Well, at age 12 your body and your brain are not fully developed. 18 is a somewhat arbitrary age but at least by then your brain is mostly developed.

@Harlem55 Yes, I know that the brain is developing up to age 25. However you must agree that an 18 year old's brain is much more developed than a 12 year old.

@theblandcharlie822 You do understand that people won't kill most pedophiles. Physical proof of child abuse is hard to find in most of these cases. Most police stations and juries won't convict someone without physical proof. So most go free. I was on grand jury duty and it was hard to get the jury to send some of the pedophiles to trial. If you can help some people before they commit a crime it will save kids from abuse.

Dazzler - YT The brain is more than half way developed at 18. And right or wrong that is the age where many countries legally set adulthood. So it is the law.

@thun226 Usually you won't go to prison if you haven't committed a crime, but there could be other bad consequences.

@BHarly 80% of pedophiles are highly religious. Many are in churches but a lot are also in schools, children's sports, Scouts, etc...
