Why didn't the hospitals hint that he had a poor work ethic to other hospitals? That was something they could prove.

@DaVeganZombie I doubt that Job Jones was Autistic. Charismatic people are rarely Autistic.

I don't do drugs but people think that I take them when they see my artwork.

@fz7788 When was the USA colorblind? The answer is never.
2
@fz7788 There is partial integration in the USA right now. And you and I are still talking about different definitions.
2
Wow you must be old!

Just imagine if all the white supremacists defected also, then our country would really be better!

@mosquitobight Many people want religion. That is why most people believe in some kind of religion. Those of us that don't believe are by far a minority.
1
@petebondurant58 Maybe Jones was a Christian Communist. When I was in the state of Kerala in India it was run by Catholic Communists. Usually Communism is paired with Atheism but it doesn't have to be...
1
@mosquitobight Maybe but I don't know if Atheism will ever grow that much.
1
@mosquitobight Maybe so. But I think many people need religion. Science lessens the need for some people but I am sceptical it will get rid of the need for most people. Most people have a choice in the west and they still choose religion.
1
@petebondurant58 He could have started out as a Christian and changed or he could have faked being Christian in the beginning. My main point is that not all communists are atheists.
1
@petebondurant58 I read that he joined the party early on. I don't know whether Jim Jones was ever a Christian. Obviously in the end he was not. Most communists are atheists but not all. As I stated earlier when I was in India I visited a state that was run by Catholic Communists. I am just saying it is possible to be a religious communist. I don't know if Jim Jones ever qualified as one.

@tyrfree5733 How do you know she didn't speak up? People are not always believed.
1
@tobytoby9153 But men get lower sentences for the crime of killing their spouses (at least in the USA)
1
@ericarevalo2701 Socialism and communism are not the same things. For example: Socialism = Sweden, Communism = Cuba.
1
@fz7788 I don't think you define color blind the same way I do. People notice the color of people's skin in the USA (and elsewhere). People have noticed the difference since the beginning of the USA. It is a fact.
1
@fz7788 I am aware how good I have it. I spent 3 months in India. That doesn't mean that everything is perfect in my country.
1
@fz7788 We don't like the term colorblind because it means ignoring people's heritage.

@Keifsanderson Health care in Canada is paid for by taxes not free. USA pays the most for health care with worse results than most other rich countries. Socialized medicine has its problems but they get more for their money.
1
@battosai6934 I was on Medicaid (USA government health care) before Obamacare. I had better insurance than my friends and family who got insurance through work. They could hardly afford to go to the doctor. I also knew many people who had no insurance at all. My sister didn't go to the dentist for 7 years. Medical bills were one of the top causes of bankruptcy. Socialized medicine may have its problems but if you are poor or middle class it can be attractive. Something is better than little or nothing.
1
@Keifsanderson Exactly, USA health care is good for those who can afford it. I am talking about the many who can't afford it. Statistics include everyone not just higher income Americans. Over all we have worse health outcomes than most developed nations and spend the most.
1
@Keifsanderson Once again, I am talking about overall statistics not specific cases. USA health care is good for the well off. Not so good for the uninsured.
1
@Keifsanderson Single payer systems increase care for the lower and middle classes. If you have little or no health care then mediocre care is a big improvement. The wealthy can always pay extra for better care.
1
@Keifsanderson You are rich enough to pay for medical care out of pocket. You live in Canada. I don't think you have a clear picture of how things work for lower class people in the USA. I believe you that some uninsured people are driving fancy cars but the uninsured I know do not. (Actually they are mostly on Obamacare now so they're no longer uninsured.)
1
@Keifsanderson What does NPC mean?
1
@Keifsanderson I didn't know that Canada and the UK are communist countries.
1
@Keifsanderson I can appreciate that you are smart to prioritize health care. Just realize that some people don't have the income to pay for nice cars or health care.
1
I think it is because they had different expectations. Jenkins probably had a better early life.

From Little House in the Prairie?

@britneyzzshadow1716 How do you figure that?

If you are one of the only native speakers of English in the country you don't need very good skills.

Watch the whole video and you will get your wishes.

Horribly interesting.

@eodyn7 CRT is not against MLK's dream
1
You guys are confused about CRT is. It is a college level theory.
1
@lionheartfilms793 I agree that universities can be elitist. But if I say that CRT is taught in universities and not elementary schools it is to say that children can't understand it and aren't being taught it. Certainly adults could understand it. I did not graduate from college. I have read about CRT. I don't understand all of it but I understand enough to tell that most people screaming about it don't know what it is.

As a mental patient I disagree. I would much rather be alive now. Mental health still sucks but it is better than back then. I was in the state hospital in my state and private institutions. I was never served rotten meat, I never had ice water thrown on me and we did not sit on hard benches for more than 8 hours a day. I was allowed to read. We played sports etc. I wouldn't advise going to those places but they have improved.
1
Maybe not in the end

@reythejediladyviajakku6078 It sounded like Malcolm had a change of heart after going to Mecca.

Los Alamos is semi-arid but the cold is more oppressive than the heat. It is high elevation. Lots of snow but beautiful summers.
1
No Nellie Bly didn't do that. Deinstitutionalization was decades after her death. She helped get extra funds to improve the institutions. They didn't empty them out in her time. That was way later and had nothing to do with her.
1
Nelly Bly died in 1922. Deinstitutionalization of mental hospitals started in 1955 with the introduction of antipsychotic medications and got a lot worse 10 years later.
