@DaVeganZombie I doubt that Job Jones was Autistic. Charismatic people are rarely Autistic.

@mosquitobight Many people want religion. That is why most people believe in some kind of religion. Those of us that don't believe are by far a minority.

@mosquitobight Maybe so. But I think many people need religion. Science lessens the need for some people but I am sceptical it will get rid of the need for most people. Most people have a choice in the west and they still choose religion.

@petebondurant58 He could have started out as a Christian and changed or he could have faked being Christian in the beginning. My main point is that not all communists are atheists.

@petebondurant58 I read that he joined the party early on. I don't know whether Jim Jones was ever a Christian. Obviously in the end he was not. Most communists are atheists but not all. As I stated earlier when I was in India I visited a state that was run by Catholic Communists. I am just saying it is possible to be a religious communist. I don't know if Jim Jones ever qualified as one.
