  1. Didn't the problem begin when they started to expand NATO eastwards in the 90s rather? Breaking their promises made to Russia that they were not going to do so. Russia is not stealing the area in the east of Ukraine, these Russian people living there voted to join Russia their ancient homeland. Democratic that isn't it ? Should we not have respected the will of those people ? And they had been terrorized by the Nazis in Ukraine over many years at that point.
