Perhaps Trump did not go to the island, it could be true but it could be something to why he didn't go. Perhaps he knew Epstein was engaging in extortion, especially arranged for with cameras etc at Epstein's island? Trump may be mixing truth and lies. His anger of his staff being "stolen" may be genuine but perhaps more ambiguous to the reason to his anger.
