I've read a docu-novel called "Rosario is dead" by author Majgull Axelsson. It is about child prostitution/p- file tourism in the Philippines. The story is based around a factual court case she was reporting about as a journalist and is based around interviews with the street kids, various people who work against it including volunteers from various organisations, police and so. Also staff from the US base. The case was internationally recognised for it was a doctor from Austria on the stand accused of causing a young girl's death by breaking a s*X toy in her that subsequently caused an infection that eventually killed her. The parents to these kids are often aware of their kids going to "play with tourists" at the hotels but let it happen because they come home with money, they are dirt poor. But of course the kids may grow up to not having much respect for other human beings. Sonia was perhaps killed by someone she hired to engaged the murderers but when insurance did not pay out she could not pay them?

And that some of his friends approached her and say she "need to have those charges dropped"!! I recalled something similar of a MO of a british case, the stalking guy got a new gf to befriend the victim on facebook (he had claimed that the victim who was stalked him postedlies etc about him and his new gf to help him catch it!). People can be so gullible when the helping the stalker.

@redmarilynn Even more puzzling since neither Marti nor her mother seemed to have any conflict with him, it's not unusual that there is discussion on the quality of the work, be it on reasonable ground or the customer trying to have a discount. But maybe he had such resentment towards women in general, and couldn't accept that he had to work for them to sustain himself?

Nah, that could as well be something of an annoyance, it could as well be that him having previously ran a security company he had capacity to have substantial info already at hand when he reported the son missing.

I wonder if a body would be necessary, but surely a certainity that she is dead to begin with. If they found for instance traces like bloodstains with her dna of the amount that it would be implausible for a human to survive such loss.

@PerishingForLackOfKnowledge Not when it happened! Though I see your point. The primary objective ought to be joint custody if the wellbeing of the kids is at heart. People can have a number of flaws yet still be a ok and caring parent. And it can do a lot to ledsen the potential financial battle.

@lnteIIigence Agree, I can understand that a criminal, abuser can be displaying different sides to different people and thus it can be difficult to comprehend but when things add up people usually start to realise there's something off.

Indeed, that gives a bit of slumlord vibes, that they have to provide housing to their contractors, vacant apartments is occasionally used to house people who already live in the house but can't stay in their condo while the repair, reconstruct etc is going on.

@iatecinderella In Sweden as well. Though there's a loy of differences all in all in procedural legislation. We don't have rules of legality of evidence but the roman tradition of all is allowed to be estimated but we do not allow so called "carachter witnesses" to determine guilt or levels of it. It may be taken into account separately when determing the sentence. So a guy being hardworking, a reliable worker always on time does not have any relevance for any aspect of beating his wife. But it can have relevance for ability to be lawabiding after sentence served.

@Deuteronomy31-8 Though for instance a psychopats are such because of a development in the brain that should take place about the age of approximately 12-16 years but doesn't happen.
