I think the difference is rather that if they have work permits or not which maybe more is a matter of critics being to their employers. I find it unlikely that these construction workers, mechanics and so would be without work permits. The implication is rather that the local maga candidate who is running for office don't understand culture and conditions for business. She went out on her social media and proudly announced that she was the one who had reported to ice that there were trafficked foreigners that were living in miserable conditions and working like slaves...she probably heard it at some bar from someone who don't understand squat. These workers were there temporarily to build and install the manufacturing plant that is supposed to bring thousands of jobs to people in Georgia. As the workers were there temporarily they probably live a couple of people in rental properties as they have not brought their families. And South Korea have stable economy, social and political climate so they are not in the category that will be at risk for being trafficked and work in slaveline conditions in USA. They have higher GDP per capita and better access to higher education etc than UK. The local maga candidate and ICE leadership are absolute morons to not do checkups before they go out on such "reports" based on false rumours.

It was a local maga candidate (running for some office) who called ICE on them. She bragged about it at social media. Claiming they were trafficked and lived under horrible conditions and being on slave wages. South Korea however has good living conditions and no political impressions so they are not the typical people who would end up such in USA. Maybe the workers who are there temporarily to build and do installations to the factory shared rental housing because they are there for a shorter time. Tabitha speaks politics (who live in Georgia) as some clips about it and the outright moronic speculations from the local maga candidate. And they are so excessive and kind of parading them. There seem to be somewhat unclear on what "papers" they had and of course how reliable the information from US authorities really is. They had search for four named to people (and came in such numbers?) and claim that some were on the visa waiver program which they can be 90 days for tourists or business but does not allow work as in employment. Normally these would be deported at the expense of USA but they could have sent them to South America or Africa why the embassy of South Korea wanted to take on to fly them home instead.
