I started keto a couple of weeks ago, within two weeks (when I figured out water and electrolyte needs) my sleep was waaay better than it have been for many years. Both to hours and also the quality with deep sleep.

According to B.Bikman it offset the effect of physical exercise. Which is a bad thing for instance for women in menopause who exercise for purpose of maintaining muscle and bone.

Well even if you give supposedly healthy food to a kid as oatmeal porridge with skimmed milk, a glass of orange juice and maybe a wholegrain sandwich for breakfast have them already "oversugared" unless they're not performing some athletic excercise at elite level (or perhaps when they're in their teens). I believe that carbs are not necessary to eat for us, we can eat it but likely as a source of emergency. Root fruits and grains could be stored for some time that could be reached for in seasons when fat and proteins were limited. The "hedonic" feast that now correspond with the Christmas and New year's celebration falls in time on the northern parts of the earth to the time when the preservation time of meats and sausages were starting to reach the limit of storage with the conservation methods they had around let's say the Viking age. They were still season bound to time on how their animals bred and thus to when they needed to slaughter and then possibly preserve it by at most some months with salt.

@southerngrandma4353 If the longest living people are measured trough the so-called seven countries study, that study is seriously flawed, there were several more countries included but they took away the countries that showed different result than the plant based bias. The study was partly made with mind at what food the USarmy would serve their recruits, it was necessary to make cheaper food look great.

I heard pork is one of the best sources for B vitamins. I think even "factory produce" meat in many respects are less toxic than plant based, where they have found residues of heavy metals (which occurs naturally in the soil) and pesticides even in those labeled as "organic". But yeah, I figure a lot of studies would put meats to be bad when more companies want to sell high processed fake vegan meat, cheese and such. I suspect the stance from WHO also may be somewhat politically influenced: a lot of countries struggle with large portions of poor people who can't afford a great portion of quality food. So the temptation would be to claim bad food is good. Or other considerations influencing how the questions are posed.

From what I heard of an interview with Dr Richard Johnson eating a lot of red meat could increase uric acid but that significance seem less frequent for people who are not carb users for energy.

I think a lot of people get diagnosed with depression for having very low energy levels, lethargy etc and the underlying cause is perhaps a metabolic problem in reality, but bloodsugars may still appear normal while the fasting insulin that is not tested may be skyhigh. A lot of women are found to have thyroid imbalances despite it's likely still a very under diagnosed illness.

Well the evolution theory have more to support it compared to a food pyramid suggesting that grainproduce should be the most important food source. Not to mention the demonizing of saturated fats despite the 60% of the human brain and 50% of the cellmembrane consist of saturated fat. And the "vegetable oils" can not maintain it.

@user-hk9zg2jy1u I saw an interview with Dr Richard Johnson and he said that purines in for instance red meat would not be a problem with persons that are on low carb diets.

@RosyOutlook2 It's likely not a problem to eat a lot of it for people who have a diet with little or no carbs (according to an interview wit Dr Richard Johnson).

I think it often may be more of an explanation rather than blame with parents. We are in many ways formed with some set of beliefs, expectations, fears etc which may not be of adequately serving us as to where we are today, more perhaps as as an investigate question on "why am I here?".
