I found it irritating how he blames shops etc. I'm 53 and one difference might be that things are marketed more to kids these days, sometimes in an almost clandestine manner as a game or such. Though there was candy, sodas and such at lower shelves and such when I was a kid but we never had it at home. I could by it myself at Saturdays when I got my weekly allowance, but then I wanted a comicpaper and something left to put in my savings ox so what was left of the money was sufficient for about 1.5 DL of mixed candy, and I thought it was like Saturday luxury!

@quelquun2018 Not to mention that infections in the mouth is suspected to be an contributor to getting cardiovascular illness at a fairly early age.
