There is a British docuseries called "Freaky eaters", with people who had developed various phobias around food. One of them was a young boy who just ate Yorkshire pudding (like owenmade pancakes or something). He was on the spectrum, don't remember if it he was diagnosed with autism or Asperger's but it was not very obvious. He had also learned to make them by himself at an early age. His mother had tried to have him eat other things but hoped he would be tired of it after a while.

@rice83101 I recall an interview with Gabriel Maté where he said that some illness like ALS and rheumatoid arthritis seem to be with people that have quite specific personality traits like very kind, obeiding, conditioned to not put themselves first.

Another aspect also, I saw a documentary, it may have been at "Danger" channel, that in Europe's larger cities it's not unusual that organised networks recruit illegal immigrants, sometimes by lending out money they have about no chance being able to pay back to work in various service, often restaurants or those mobile units in the cities around the time of nightclubs closingtime. They exploit people in an extremely cruel way, in UK people who have gone to a new legit job have been murdered and some years ago a couple of Vietnamese immigrants were found dead by suffocation in a lorry (the custom officers check the lorries with goods by for instance measure the air to see if there's someone breathing and the people smuggled this way are handed garbagebags to tie around the head during the stop at customs control.). Now someone with such low regard for humans are not likely to provide quality food and respect hygiene regulation. So the cheap meal could be a very expensive one in the end.
