  1. To a Calvinist it may not matter. They don't think they are responsible or accountable for their own sins in their own life, and not responsible for other people's sins. A person like that have no problem letting out pedophiles and other criminals on grounds they don't want to pay some cent in taxes to keep them in prison. As an European I am kind of relieved they considered themselves persecuted in Europe back in the day.
