 @SakuraAsranArt I would say that a great part was that quite many individuals around them (especially Lori) chose to shelter their delusions.

@TheFamilyStone2224 Some of these clips should be compulsory for high schoolers with discussions about how the people behave, I bet even kids would see it as pathetic. And also some discussion about which they are not in position to chose about the procedures.

I must disagree....I would say her family encouraged it more or less, she talk and behave like a teen while being a middle aged woman and everyone, especially her family approved if not even encouraged it (but likely the cops to a less degree). They encourage it perhaps not openly but subconsciously, they feel needed by the infantile middle aged woman in her various problems.

@sofpsocf It's not an issue if what wrongs are worse at that stage. Him taking a purse can make him appearing as less reliable when he files his complaint over her being crazy because that is unfortunately a thing that controlling ex partners frequently does.

@sofpsocf It did not help him being a bit overactive, like taking her purse out of her car etc. It make him look like a controlling ex. This not to be defensive of her at all but just what may appear as odd to people around. It is not that unusual that people throw such around in in divorces with disputes about money and custody of kids. And her immature had probably been encouraged for decades, people thinking it was charming.

 @Darckfire43 If she took off from a stop one could have thought that there was different possibilities as to why. She could have tried to hide a gun or drugs, or flush down drugs etc...

@stuffylamb3420 @stuffylamb3420 Yes I know but to an outsider it still can make him appear as a controlling partner/ex (even if the pending divorce is not yet a fact). When married couples divorce it often a time of consideration so a divorce don't go trough so quickly. And unfortunately during this time people often are horrible towards their former spouse to be, not only for hurt feelings but to establish aground for the financial settlements to follow. In this case, in hindsight, Lori is not right in her head while not clinically insane in the legal relevance, but that is often an allegation made with little ground which I would guesstimate police see a lot on a regular basis. Not said to diminish his well grounded fear but as a plausible explanation to why something was not done about it. But then again, even if they had no sufficient ground to do much they could still have dare to be offensive to question her. Even more so after he was killed, but even before it might not have hurt had she been thoroughly aware she's on the radar.
