  1.  @user-xm1od9nb1m  Yes but art and some things of more sentimental value, some souvenirs from trips etc can be "useful" in creating the atmosphere you'd want in a home (aslong as it's not so much that it become invisible).

  2. The other day I finally went to a charityshop with some things after my parents but which isn't my cup of tea. I do know though that my parents would prefer it go to someone who like them instead of filling it in boxes in the guesthouse.
