Though she didn't store them to be viewed, it was in bags stacked here and there, as if trash. There's the difference between hoarding versus collecting or saving.

Outraged? But whose fault do you think it was? Her way of coddling the kids to the degree that she wonders whether her teenage kids are able to make sandwiches, peddle with a lot of stuff etc seem almost like a sort of escape (from dealing with the with the emotions after their loss). Had that gone on for a couple of years longer she might as well have developed towards becoming a full blown hoarder. It's filmed in Canada, neither Kim nor Mike are psychiatrich professionals. There might have been a "plan" for dealing with their trauma, but most likely they have recieved counseling already at the time when the father/spouse died. But if there would be need for psychiatric "coaching" it would likely not have been on camera anyway, I doubt serious shrinks would go on beyond boarders of patient confidentiality regulations. But that doesn't mean that Kim or Mike ought to act quacks just to provide for tv.
