  1. Foreign aid not only imperialism. While it may turn to that it can also be a means to improve a country's wealth and stability that lessen unrest in a region. EU have refugees from the other side of Mediterranean (Africa and middle east) not by a slump. Same as USA get immigrants from South America. And for sure some of the unrest in these countries are due to a history of past colonialism we in the west/north still depend in some extent on trade with them also.
