  3. It had labels that said it was a legal boa, and he told them (and they acknowledged) it was a legal boa and not to be euthanized

  6. He had the boa for 10 years, he loved it like you would love a cat or dog. It’s not replaceable, it’s something you become emotionally attached to

  7. Boas don’t have eggs, they actually give live birth and shirl was still gravid (reptile version of pregnant) so unfortunately all 32 babies died. That’s 33 legal pet boas killed.

  10. He owned big shirl for 10 years, it was his pet. The man has pythons that go for thousands of dollars a baby, big Shirls babies would less for 50 bucks a baby. He bred her for fun, not for business
